Screenshots, photos, links, PDFs and notes… Engram reads them and remembers where and when they were. You just search in your own words: “that restaurant I went to in Ankara last year”.
You take a screenshot of a menu, a product, an address. “I'll look at it later,” you say. Months later, when that “later” comes, what you need is lost among thousands of photos.
No new habits needed. You already use the share menu.
Send anything to Engram from your gallery, browser, YouTube or files. Add a line about why if you like, or don't. It's saved in two taps and you're back in the app you came from.
On your phone, without needing the internet: it reads the text in a photo, works out the city and date it was taken, and recognises what's in the image. All of it goes into your encrypted vault.
No need to remember file names or folders. Type it the way it comes to mind. Engram understands dates and places and shows results with their source.
Every save leaves several traces: text, place, time, image and your reason for saving it. When you search, these traces come together.
No sparkles, counters or red notification dots on Engram's screens. Just your saves and the shortest way to find them.
Signs, menus, receipts, screenshots… every word in them becomes searchable. Turkish, English, German, French and Russian.
Turns a photo's location into a city and district name. Entirely on the phone, with an offline map.
“yesterday”, “last summer”, “geçen ay”, “letzten Sommer”… Date phrases become filters you can edit.
Find a photo without a single word on it by what it shows: “food”, “sea”, “car”. The model runs on your phone.
A one-line note becomes the strongest search clue months later. If you'd rather not write one, that's fine; it's optional.
“Remind me about this in two weeks.” The notification arrives on time and never shows your save's content on the lock screen.
Documents open inside the app. Photos you share together stay neatly in one save.
Forgotten saves now and then return to your home screen on a quiet card. Don't want it? Turn it off with one tap.
Saving, reading, working out places and dates, recognising images and searching all work even in airplane mode. Engram's brain is inside your phone.
Export all your saves to a single password-protected, encrypted file and restore it whenever you want. Exporting is always free.
The moment you save it, Engram reads the text in the image on your phone and adds it to your vault. The recognised text shows in the save's details, so you always know what was found.
Where and when a photo was taken is kept apart from when you saved it. The location is turned into a city and district name with offline map data on your phone and is sent nowhere.
“To come back with Mum.” “To look at on summer holiday.” The one line you write when saving is the most personal and strongest search clue. Engram puts it at the heart of the save.
Your memory is nobody else's business. You don't create an account to use Engram; your saves, recognised text and photos are not sent to our servers.
The database and files are encrypted on your phone. The key is protected by your phone's secure hardware store.
Turn on the vault lock and Engram locks itself after a short time in the background.
Previews are hidden in the recent-apps screen, and in-app screenshots are blocked.
No email, phone number or sign-in. You open the app and use it.
Delete a save, the trash, or everything with “Delete all my data”, for good, including search indexes and everything derived.
We don't show ads with your data or sell it to anyone. Our income comes from the optional Engram Plus.
The interface, date phrases, place names and text recognition work in five languages. You can choose the app language independently of your phone.
Saving, searching, exporting and deleting will never cost money. Your data is never held hostage.
The current price and the terms of the 14-day trial are shown in Google Play. The subscription is managed in Google Play and can be cancelled at any time.
Only on your phone, in an encrypted vault. Engram doesn't send your saves, recognised text or photos to our servers. For a backup, you create an encrypted export file and decide where to keep it.
Because your saves are only on your phone, we recommend exporting regularly. On the new phone, open your password-protected export with “Restore from an export”. With Engram Plus this backup is made automatically and encrypted to a folder you choose (for example Google Drive).
No. Saving, reading text, working out places and dates, and searching work fully offline. The image model that recognises photos without text is downloaded once, only with your consent and over Wi-Fi, from our server (sunizeka.org).
No. To read the location we ask for Android's “photo location” permission. The coordinates are turned into a city and district name with the offline map data inside the app and never leave your phone.
Turkish, English, German, French and Russian. The interface, date phrases, place names and reading text in photos work in these five languages.
Engram runs on phones with Android 10 or later and a 64-bit processor. We are working on an iPhone version.
Yes. Saving, searching, searching by image, exporting and deleting are always free. Engram Plus offers optional extras such as automatic backup, unlimited reminders and richer views.
Settings → “Delete all my data”. Saves, files, recognised text, reminders, settings and keys are deleted from your phone for good. Export first; this cannot be undone.
Add your first ten saves, then try searching. Engram remembers the rest.
